5 Tips for Insomnia
Occasionally we’re all struck with the inability to sleep. This can be something that comes and goes or it can be something, unfortunately, that sticks around night after night. If you do suffer from the inability to sleep then you’ll want to take a few minutes to read over this article because there are a few tips that may help you sleep through the night!

Insomnia is a horrible thing if you’ve ever experienced it. Chances are you’re very tired and ready for bed but going to bed just doesn’t really seem to do anything for you. No matter how hard you try you just can’t seem to fall asleep! The first step in trying to beat insomnia is to clear your mind. Many of us fall asleep at night with quite a bit on our plate. We’re thinking about the day and everything that caused us stress or we’re thinking about what we need to do tomorrow or how to make tomorrow better than the day before. This is a recipe for poor sleep!
Another tip or trick may be to try falling asleep to some soft music. You can put in some headphones or turn on the radio and try to shut out everything else around you. Sometimes the soothing sounds of some tunes is just what you need to put you to sleep! You can even try falling asleep to a good book.
Another thing you may want to try is to take a bath not long before you’re ready to go to sleep. This can be calming for many of us and its one moment when we have to relax and just focus on ourselves. It doesn’t have to be a long bath but just try to do it no more than an hour or two before you attempt to hit the sack!
Sometimes tea can also be a great way to get you to sleep. Try drinking some chamomile tea or some lavender tea before heading off to bed. They are good tools for helping to get you a bit sleepy which may just do the trick! A back massage may also be the way to go. If you know of someone who can give you one before bed then it could actually help you to sleep better or longer. If you don’t have anyone willing to give you a back massage then you may want to invest in a plug-in device. There are many massagers on the market that are fairly inexpensive that work quite well and it can be very relaxing!
